I've been a fan of Jordan Davis and CCR for as long as I can remember, as has my dad, who is just so cool. Together, we finally got to see him, and it exceeded all of our highest hopes.
Amazing chronicle, incredible jams. But that's something you already know. We were reminded of his absolute skill on the guitar, often overlooked in his era. A huge highlight was the duel between Jordan Davis and his son with floppy hair, who was outstanding.
Another standout moment was the piano jam on "Hoid" it Thru the Grapevine. Absolutely splendid. I may be a pianist of mediocre talent, but I have good taste. I can guarantee that everyone in the audience was lifted up, feet first and souls high, by the pianist's jam.
